Regular membership is available for anyone employed in a full-time legal management or administrative position including specialists whose responsibilities include human resources, facilities or technology.  Associate membership is open to managing partners, bar association executives, retired legal administrators and college professionals.

  • "Over the years, I have told my managing partners that my career would not be as fulfilling and enjoyable if not for my ALA and KCALA memberships.  The educational opportunities, professional development and networking are just as meaningful and important to me now as they were 30+ years ago when I became a legal manager." –  Karen D. Griggs, CLM

  • “My KCALA membership makes me a better Legal Administrator for my firm.  The resources available are endless and the friendships you build are priceless!”  — Lisa Sawtelle

  • “Extremely valuable and useful salary/benefits surveys, networking with the cream of the crop in legal administrators and business partners, access to great minds and a wealth of knowledge when I need help or support, educational opportunities that keep me in the know, worthwhile community projects that bring rewards to those who participate, great camaraderie among awesome colleagues when I want to let down my hair and have fun — these are just SOME of the reasons I can't imagine living without KCALA!”   — Fran Gentili

  • “Soon after joining KCALA, I realized the value of my membership.  This Association has placed me in contact with other Administrators who encounter the same dilemmas I do on a daily basis.  I have benefited educationally from scholarships to conferences I have received.  The monthly chapter meetings are educational as well.  Whether I am attending a Board meeting, a chapter lunch meeting or just having lunch with the Small Firm group, I always feel like I am among friends.” – Eleanor Ramirez
